The specially designed Abster High Shear Mixer for works on the principle of the high centrifugal force produced due to the high rpm of the rotor mounted on the main spindle and thus producing a very high shear due to the specially designed minimal tolerance between the rotor and stator. The homogenizer is equipped with precision engineered rotor/ stator work head with a minimal tolerance between them that provides much more fine results.
BATCH MIXING: FLEXIBILITY, HIGH FLOW AND FAST MIXING CYCLES
Batch High Shear Mixers can be permanently mounted to the mix tank or suspended over the vessel with a portable lift. The mobile configuration offers you the flexibility to use a single mixer in multiple vessels. It also allows you to vary the position of the rotor/stator generator in the vessel to fine-tune the process to handle a variety of materials. The flow through a batchrotor/stator generator can be as much as ten times higher than in a comparable in-line mixer. For many applications, this produces fast particle size reduction and short mixing cycles, but only if the flow pattern within the vessel is optimized. Abster Equipment will help ensure thatflow through the rotor/stator generator correlates with complete tank turnovers – and a homogeneous end product.
The rotor/stator generator of the batch High Shear Mixer is generally positioned 2-3 head diameters from the bottom of the vessel, and slightly off-center. To ensure adequate suspension of heavier solids, the rotor/stator generator may be located in the center of the vessel.
